Birthday Party

I have been on Enrichment Committee for a few years now, just recently called as leader, so I will start off with Enrichment Night from last March. Which is the Birthday party for the Relief Society. It was a lot of fun. We had a table outside where each sister would draw a number and that number would represent the table they would sit at. Each table (round seating 8 to a table) had a cake as the centerpiece (sisters in our ward sign up to bring a cake) and the cake was topped with a number candle. We also had balloons all over to make it feel like birthday party (it was cute). We had a nice dinner buffet (Hawaiian Haystacks) and cake was dessert. On each table there was a piece of paper with questions to talk about at the table. Questions like 'Your most embarrassing moment' or 'Pet Peeves' - etc. It was a fun way to get to know sisters that you may not always get to talk to. Then one person from each table went up to the microphone and shared something that everyone at that table had learned. Then we all wander tasting all off the delicious cakes that were brought. It was a nice night of getting to know the sisters in our ward a little better!

What have you done in your ward?

And so it begins....

Last summer I was called as Enrichment Committee leader for our ward... and with all my friends and family members who have served or are serving in this calling our common question is.... What are YOU doing because I seem to be out of ideas. So tonight I decided to try to create a common place for these ideas, in hopes that it will help anyone serving on an Enrichment Committee.

If you have ideas or stories or anything at all related to Home, Family, and Personal Enrichment night or Enrichment Activities, please email them to me at amy.mulcock@gmail.com I will post them here so we can all benefit from sharing our ideas and experiences.

There was an Article in the Ensign in November of 1980 by Elder Boyd K. Packer where a sister told Elder Packer "A small circle of sisters send their own hearts and thoughts to all the sisters and begs the Lord to help us go forward". Hopefully this blog can help a circle of sisters in doing what the Lord would have us do.
